Great ideas often fail before they begin—not because the solution is weak, but because the opportunity was never clearly understood.

AMPLIFIED! will return to The Basement at UC San Diego for an interactive workshop designed to help entrepreneurs, innovators, and emerging founders slow down just enough to ask a better question: What opportunity are we really trying to pursue?

Participants will apply the HI × AI Infinity Loop to examine assumptions, expand their understanding of a challenge, explore alternative perspectives, and sharpen the direction of their work before moving too quickly into execution. Human Insights will establish context, judgment, and meaning, while Artificial Intelligence will help participants research, challenge, compare, and extend their thinking.

The session will move participants through a practical sequence of identifying, exploring, evaluating, and accelerating opportunity framing. Rather than using AI simply to generate answers, participants will learn how to use it to improve the quality of the questions they ask and the decisions they make.

This workshop also continues an ongoing relationship between AMPLIFIED! and The Basement at UC San Diego. Previous AMPLIFIED! sessions at The Basement have brought together international students, researchers, and faculty to explore problem framing, Design Thinking, and HI × AI in practice. The October 2 session will extend that work into entrepreneurship and opportunity development—helping participants use AI with greater intention before committing time, resources, and energy to a solution.

The goal is simple: leave with a clearer opportunity, stronger reasoning, and a more focused path forward.
