The Applied AI Workflow Transformation Capstone will give AAA participants an opportunity to move beyond AI awareness and experimentation into applied organizational change.

Delivered through UC San Diego Extended Studies as part of the broader AAA University AI Certification Program, the 40-hour live-online experience will guide participants through the process of identifying real work that could be improved with AI and developing practical, evidence-informed approaches for doing so.

Participants will use Human Insights (HI) × Artificial Intelligence (AI) to examine current workflows, surface friction and opportunity, rethink how tasks and decisions are performed, and design improved ways of working. The course will emphasize the role of human judgment throughout the process, including where people must establish direction, evaluate AI output, manage risk, and remain accountable for outcomes.

The capstone will also address the organizational realities that determine whether AI-enabled work succeeds in practice: adoption, capability, workflow design, testing, measurement, and implementation.

Rather than working on hypothetical exercises, participants will apply the process to meaningful opportunities from their own work at AAA. The goal is to leave the course with a clearer understanding of how AI can improve a real workflow, a tested direction for moving forward, and the ability to apply the same HI × AI approach to future challenges.

This capstone extends AMPLIFIED!’s ongoing work with AAA—from helping managers recognize opportunities for improvement to equipping participants to redesign and implement AI-supported work in practice.
