As part of the continuing partnership between Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and UC San Diego, this two-hour AMPLIFIED! workshop will give visiting undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty an opportunity to explore how Human Insights (HI) × Artificial Intelligence (AI) can strengthen problem investigation, framing, and innovation practice.

Participants will work through two applications of the HI × AI Infinity Loop: first to investigate and better understand a problem, then to frame a clear, research-informed problem statement. The workshop will combine human observation, experience, judgment, and context with AI-supported research, analysis, and exploration.

The session will also explore how participants can apply the approach within their own academic and professional work, and how faculty may adapt the methodology for teaching and student learning. In doing so, the workshop will support the broader UNAM–UC San Diego partnership through shared learning, academic exchange, and collaboration around AI, innovation, and human-centered problem-solving.
